I would like to direct these comments to the board of directors. One season at Sag Hollow is about to pass. I know there is some members that think it should look like Augusta National now. They also wanted this and that now. But look at the course now and go back a yr. ago or even a yr from that. Guys you have come a long long way. You have a beautiful place, and what a place to play golf. Guys you are playing golf in Booneville, Think about it. So stay focused and stay on your path. Its going to take 2 or 3 yrs or even more for it is a work in progress. Guys you have took a huge step and Sag Hollow speaks for its self and for you..... Thanks

I think the course looks very good for a course that only opened in May. The bermuda fairways have grown in and thickened much faster than I thought they would. They look fantastic. The greens are coming along, but are still developing. They are in the process of punching and sanding them this week. It will take a few years of this type areation and sanding for them to be less firm than they are right now. But they'll be ok. I think we'll see a big difference in them next year. It's certainly a beautiful and fun course to play!

Quite a bit of work has been done to the greens and tees in the last two weeks. They have been punched and sanded (75 tons of sand...which was necessary because most of the greens are over 6,000 sq. feet), and also re-seeded. It will make a BIG difference, and the results will soon be seen. The clubhouse is looking great as well. Volunteers, led by Ken Dean, have worked unbelievably hard to landscape around the clubhouse, and make improvements inside the building. The clubhouse also has a new 57 inch TV, card tables, and shelves for merchandise. The new course/club is a work in progress, and it's definitely progressing.

The scramble is Saturday, Nov. 10th. Hopefully the weather will be good. It will probably be the last 18 hole scramble of the year. The course looks great right now. The greens have been areoated and sanded, LOTS of sand, and the concrete sidewalks have been completed around the clubhouse. Come join us in our Fall scramble and have a good time before the white stuff starts falling.

I recently played the Sag and was rally impressed with the speed of the greens and how they are now playing. The greens have been rolled, aerified, and sanded. By tournament time it should be spectacicular.

The greens look great right now. They're smooth, rolling faster, and beautiful to look at. The club house is completed, the cart barn is finished (houses 50 carts. The course is looking great right now. Shrubs and flowers have been added (with more on the way). A lot of folks come by to rent a cart and just drive the course to look at the scenery. There's no traffic and no noise, except for the multitudes of turkey, deer, and other wildlife that make apperances occasionally. Last year was the first year for the course. it is maturing very nicely. Come visit and see for yourself.

just found the website.the course looks great. can't wait to play. my in-laws live in owsley (pebworth) and just gave me a gift cert. to the course for the next time we come to visit. finally a good course to play when i am in your part of the country. i have been playing beattyvilles course for quite a few years now, great challenge with all the hills you have to navigate, but with very little trees (shade) and no carts to rent, nine holes would just about kill me when i played. looking forward to playing your course the next time i am in town for the weekend. keep up the good work and i will see you very soon. Owsley County Boy's Basketball Scramble has been rescheduled for October 25th. It is an A-B-C-D format that will probably begin around noon. Entry fee has not been set but will probably be $40 with the option of buying a couple of mulligans. Come enjoy a great day at the Sag!

A lot of work going on at Sag Hollow right now. The sewer line people are continuing construction. And the greens are being punched and sanded, a necessity at this time of year. About 450 shrubs, plants, trees, and flowers are being put in the ground this week to beautify the course. The cart path going up to number 5 has been rebuilt and is in operation once again. This course is going to be something to behold in a few years!
